Those items will be like the cencors item, it just links onto your char, cant drop it or even show it in trade.
Those items arent just gimmics tho, they are marketing for japan and korea, MMO is big business over there, its all about trends, one game becomes cool and everyone goes out and buys it, over here we just buy the game if it got a good review in magazine, no need for massive promotions..

Damn. I'd kill to see an empty Lion's Arch again, just because noone else got as far as Lion's Arch yet, if I could just get to play in the Japanese servers for 2 days..

And I'd really like the Hammer too, I wonder if I buy the Japanese version of the game, what will happen. There are alot of Europeans with American Pre-Order items, maybe you can just add a Japanese key to your account. Though, if these items are randomly signed to your account, I won't take that risk, don't want to be stuck with one of those useless items

That would be because Europeans got the same pre order items as Americans... Same as all the countries that got the initial release of the game.

Nope. The Pre-Order boxes in Europe contained the Chismeric Prism, always, the Pre-Order boxes in America could contain different Pre-Order items. Still, people that bought their games in Europe have used Pre-Order boxes from America, and it might be the same with these items.

Though, Korean Coke items weren't available in our contries (right..?), so I don't think we can get these after all.

Good Luck earning your own favor against people worth one year of experience.

I remember how bad it was for Europe when the game was out here. We got our behinds kicked day in day out by US beta people.

A bit weird to use the Seven Deadly Sins from the Christian religion for Japanese items. I rather would have expected themes from Buddhism/Shinto, which are the predominant religions over there.

I think these seven sins are more then religion-related now. I've also seen a famous Japanese anime serie (Full Metal Alchemist) that had 7 character included that all had one of those names.

Maxiemonster is right. Though it was originally Christian, the sins are now more or less universal. I'm sure that they would be frowned on too by people of any(or none!) religion.

But linking it to Full Metal Alchemist might be a bit of a stretch, sorry!

As Reverend Lovejoy said in the Simpsons...
"Have you tried one of the other major religions, Ned? They're all pretty much the same..."

Point being, I would wager that no religion has ever disagreed with the seven deadly sins, at least on principle.

If we complain enough, we'll get a nice little excuse from A.Net along with complainers about complainers and complainers about complainers about complainers

@Dentenko, female Monks look like maids anyway. Especially with that starter armor. It's very ugly though.. Probably the worst looking of all. We monks always get screwed

And about the sins again, here (in Holland) we actually had icecream named after the 7 sins. And I don't think icecream is "Christian-only"

You all do realize you could probably pay $10 and acquire one of these items. I'm sure some store will be like Best Buy (I think) was and sell only the pre-order item code for $10. If it's worth the cost to you, try and find a store to buy the code from. >.>

nice idea... only i cant understand japanese at all, so if smbdy wise and generous will spend his presious time and read whatever thay said on their sites about shipping and so on and post instrustion how to do it - i'd love to pre-order it, but dunno if account on american realm can use japanese-realm keys anyway (so mb its a good idea to ask anet be4 reading/translating...)

and do i have to preorder from certain store to get certain item (like it was here)?

That sheild has to be the ugliest thing i've ever seen, even uglier than hydromancer armor, i mean it looks like a cheap belt buckle, and that mesmer weapon looks like a broken dragon sword, the necro staff reminds me of cobra from GI joe and the ele weapon looks like it got jacked off of some karokee machine, i rather poke myself in the eye than weild any of these
